A Costa Rican sloth, having finished lunch, satisfied, relaxed and getting ready for a nap.
Sloths are a group of aboreal( living in trees) mammals noted for their reclusiveness, slow movements and hours of sleeping upside down hanging from trees in the South and Central American tropical rainforests. This sloth was spotted while hiking in the Osa Peninsula of southwestern Costa Rica, awake, and hanging !
