It runs parallel to the foothills of the Himalayas and is the most fertile and productive region of Nepal where agriculture dominates, but there is also opportunity in agro-based industry, livestock and forestry. Women and children, especially, are beginning to see the opportunities of education, increased income and security in this region of Nepal
