Artist's Description
We are walking the Camino de Santiago on this wonderful spring, May day. Today we hike approximately 23 kilometers from Triacastela to Sarria. We are taking the route through Samos which follows along the river of Ouribio, through a valley wedged between mountains,crossing over bridges, through hamlets, forests of oak, birch, chestnut, fields of wildflowers and other plants typical of a riverbank. It is lush, green, mostly shaded and almost reminiscent of rural Ireland.
