The snow-covered peaks of Monte Fitz Roy rise majestically above,as we reach the dazzling blue glacial Viedma Lake at the base.This day trek is well worth the effort,starting in El Chalten zig zagging up the trail of rugged rocky terrain, shale and boulders. The mountain was first climbed in 1952 by the French and there have been many ascents since.
