Description
Wildfires are not new to Bryce Canyon National Park. One of the most recent, in 2018 ,sparked by lightening and expanding quickly by several wind whipped days affected the southeastern edge of the park. A mostly barren, eery landscape of scorched trees and stumps meet the hiker. in the spring of 2021. On the horizon you can see a few untouched fir trees, giving one the sense of how frightful and chaotic the blaze must have been, jumping and traveling depending on wind direction and other factors. Tiny spots of color, dot the landscape as regeneration begins.

Calvin Boyer
In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
