Description

Burgos,Spain became a bishopric or diocese in 1075 ,becoming the capital of the unified kingdom of Castilla-Leon . The grandeur of Catholic churches, catherdals, and squares held great importance and identity for each town or city, whether,for business,trade, power, or money. The original church quickly became too small and the Burgos Catherdral was built in 1240s,dedicated to the Virgon Mary. It contributed to the growth of gothic art in Spain,and is a UNESCO World Heritage site today.
