Artist's Description
We started our trek on the Salkantay Trail, an ancient, remote, Inca trail. The trail travels over rocky plains, high passes, rivers, by majestic peaks, and into deep valleys and forests. It is a very diverse, countryside. We enter the Sacred Valley and the Quechan people's most iconic city of Machu Picchu situated at 2000 feet on a granite peak high above a lush jungle.
It has been an amazing journey of landscape, history, culture, physical challenge.
