There is no shortage of scenic hikes in the Pacific Northwest. The Columbia River Gorge boasts forests, meadows, wildflowers, waterfalls, rivers and mountain views within a 1-2 hour drive from Portland, both on the Oregon and Washington side of the Columbia River. Hikers start flocking to the gorge in the late spring, rain or shine, when the wildflowers are in bloom and return throughout summer and fall and the seasons, colors ,and views change. A new adventure every time.
