A young mother brings her child to a Health Clinic .She is a farmer's wife in the Terai region of Nepal. The Terai ( or plains) is a region in southern Nepal. It runs parallel to the foothills of the Himalayas and is the most fertile and productive region of Nepal where agriculture dominates, but there is also opportunity in agro-based industry, livestock and forestry. Women and children, especially, are beginning to see the opportunities of education, health care, and family planning leading to increased income and security in this region of Nepal
