Looking through a portal of one of its many fortifications, The Great Wall of China, unfolds before us as a winding,staggering, and seriously long stone wall. It was built during the Chinese Ming Dynasty, for protection from any invaders. It essentially failed at that function and today remains mainly as a powerful symbol of Chinese strength and power.
