Artist's Description
The trek to Everest Base Camp is filled with otherworldly scenery, challenging terrain, swinging bridges, deep gorges and wonderful, supportive guides and porters.
At elevations above the village of Namche Bazar ( 3440 meters) the risk of altitude sickness increases. Recommendations are to drink up to 5 liters of water a day and avoid any alcoholic beverage. Diets are generally vegetarian as meat is difficult to deliver safely, unless butchered at location. The trek back is filled with jubilation, and celebration. A favorite libation is Nepal's Everest Beer, and ,wow, can they keep that cold and refreshing!
